Made It Through

Cop and Bad Guy
We have officially made it through one full week of school and Bella LOVES school! She loves her teacher, Mrs. Kornegay.  The school nurse sees Bella everyday and sends Momma the best little emails! Bella is learning Spanish in Spanish class..."hola!".    So far (and I know school has only been in session a week) she is still excited about school, loves making new friends, and looks forward to going! AND speaking of friends!!  Bella gave me a HUGE smile yesterday and said.."Grammy I have 4 friends now!!"

Spent time at the play-park to help
get over her playground equipment phobia!

Bella'isms:
The big house at the entrance to our community has finally started cleaning up their yard and it's starting to look as though they might actually be getting close to completing it!  We drove by yesterday and Bella said.."OMGosh, Grammy! Look! I thought I would be like 10 or 16 years old when it was done!" (Well I am so glad it's not going to take them 5 or 11 years to finish! You would be driving by then!)..."Grammy..I would just honk my horn at them!"  LOL!

Bella told her Daddy .."My life is so sad!"...he asked WHY??  "Because I miss my Grammy!".... yep...I'm keeping this little girl FOREVER!!!

Okay!! What would we do
if  we didn't have SnapChat
Tony is always telling Bella (when I'm walking around the car to get in).."Let's leave Grammy!" and laughs! Bella always says no..and of course when I get in the car he will say.."Grammy..Bella wanted to leave you but I said no!" She always rolls her eyes at Papa and says "not me!!"...Well...the other day Daddy, Mommy and Bella were going into town and Mommy had to get out of the car..."Daddy! Let's leave Mommy" giggling...Daddy of course said no (and wondered if this scene was going to play out they way he thought!)...Mommy gets back in the car and Bella says.."Mommy..Daddy wanted to leave you but I told him no!"  They all got a big laugh out of that one!! She made her Papa very proud!  LOL!

(Bella..Christmas will be here before you know it. We will decorate everything!)
"I love Christmas time!! I get to see Uncle DanDan!!"...loves her Uncle DanDan!
-----------------------------

We are all so very happy that school is starting out on such a positive note. I still can't believe she is a Kindergartner!  I must admit when I pick her up each day that big grin she gives me melts my heart.

School

Okay...for some reason no one told me that having your precious granddaughter head off to Kindergarten was going to be THAT bad!! OMGosh!!  I was a total blubber head!!! Okay now...but geez louise!! LOL!

What does Grammy do when Bella
is at school? I colored masks for us!
Bella's first two days of school went very smoothly. She is getting the hang of things...except for that darn playground! She has never really been around a full playground and she is just a bit freaked out over it. And she just can't hunt zombies at school and she doesn't know what else to do!  :'(  Thankful that the school nurse has been very sweet about letting her hang out and chat with her!  It is just going to take a little time. But I have no doubt that she will get over her fear and also her shyness as the weeks progress.  Just love her so much! Keeping our fingers crossed that she can get thru this year with a minimal amount of illnesses!!  The school nurse is very good at keeping Momma updated on Bella's medication intake, etc. Those emails are very reassuring to Mom!

I met Bella's teacher this morning. She is very nice and Bella really likes her!

Bella is excited about school but I have to be quite honest...I miss her!

Whooooo is that under that owl mask?

Letting Go

(How is your day going, Bella?)
"OMGOSH, Grammy, it's GREAT! I have friends! I have TWO new friends!"
I think Bella grinned and giggled more then I have ever heard her do! Burkley and Hollis moving in across the street could not have happened at a more important time!

I can remember the day the boys started their first day of Kindergarten. I can remember that day like it was yesterday! I remember their smiles and how excited they were! And I remember wanting to keep the boys with me and never letting go. I remember the feeling knowing this was the first true step towards them growing up and eventually away.  And I can honestly (and with all my heart) say that next Thursday morning my heart will be hurting for Jess and Bryan. (And my heart will be hurting just a little for me, too!)  Bella starting school has been something we have worried about for five years. FIVE YEARS!!! Where have those years gone??? She is so excited about school and having Burkley (her new friend) in her class. She is ready....and we will celebrate with her...and it will all be good. (and yes...I will cry a few Grammy tears quietly at home).

School is going to be another new adventure for The Precious, but one she will take with us more on the sideline. She will learn so many new things at school. But she will have the BIGGEST fan club cheering her on from the sideline. I told her yesterday that she filled my heart up with so much love and she smiled that big smile and gave a thumbs up.

Love you so much, Isabella Rae Jordan!! You will ROCK kindergarten and you will blossom!!

"I Fight CF"

"I fight CF"...that's what Bella told us last night.
We were helping Papa change some lights bulbs and she was telling him to be careful up on the ladder
and she suddenly said.."I fight CF".  (Yes, you do honey. And you are such a great fighter!)
"I am brave and a fighter!" (Yes you are...and my hero!)
All smiles after taking her meds!
"I want to fight it because someday I don't want to do treatments. I don't want to have CF anymore. I wish I didn't have CF." (I wish you didn't have it either but you are so good about doing your treatments and taking your meds. I couldn't be more proud of you!)
"I guess I am brave and strong!" (Yep!! Bravest and strongest little girl I know!!)
Big smile and hug.
Melted my heart!!

Tiny little granules..they get mixed
with 1 tsp of liquid.
Bella's new meds seem to be giving her no problem, other then we have to wake her up early to give them to her. (She takes them every 12 hours and we are sticking very strictly to that schedule) She takes her Kalydeco at 7:15 am and 7:15 pm. "Grammy I was comfortable in bed!" (I know, sweetie. Do you want to lay back down?) "No..that's okay. I'll just play now." (Okie dokie!) "Can I just sit on your lap awhile?" (Works for me!)

Well...Harley Quinn has been here all three days this week! (And of course along with Harley you must have The Joker and Batman! And I am so confused as to who I am! LOL!!) She is "in love with my 'Carly Quinn' costume!"...I keep telling her it's "Harley Quinn" but it still comes out "Carly". Unless she is playing "Carly" before she turns into "Carly" and then she is just "Dr. Q" or "HQ". She is so imaginative!

We also spent a couple hours at the Will Rogers Memorial. Bella loved it and had so much fun in the Children's Museum. She wants to go back!

She is counting down her days until Kindergarten starts. August 18th is getting here very quickly!! She reminded me that I would be there everyday to pick her up. I told her I would be.."Promise?" (Yes, ma-am! Look I'll even write it all on my calendar and add reminders..not that I'll need it..but I will be there!) "I love you, Grammy." (Love you too, monkey butt!)
