Pony and Bunny Time

We made a quick road trip to Los Angeles to take the Pony to her new home! Danny was shocked (to say the least!).  It was a great trip and getting to see Danny was awesome. We just hung out and walked and enjoyed the ocean and Danny!  The flights home were smooth and quick (compared to 22 hours of driving!). It's always hard to say goodbye, though. Love you Danny! Can't wait to get you back here for a vacation soon.

Bryan and Bella picked us up at the airport. She greeted us with big hugs and kisses. She told me over and over that she missed me and that I couldn't go away ever again! She spent the night Friday and Saturday morning the Easter bunny had arrived early and she had fun doing her egg hunt!   Today was so beautiful outside so we stayed outside playing, hunting bad guys and re-hiding eggs! Mommy and Daddy came over for dinner (early birthday dinner for me).  Bella is currently into singing "Human" by Christina Perri.  She just loves to break out in song!!!  I hope you have a very happy Easter tomorrow sweet pea!  Papa and I will be thinking about you!

Goosebumps

Bella and I watched "Goosebumps" last night. She's seen it several times but never tires of it. "Watch this part, Grammy!" "He is going to run from a werewolf now!!" She would scream and laugh!  Love watching it with her!! As a matter of fact she is watching it again this morning! She calls Jack Black the "panda guy" (Kung Fu Panda!).

Waiting on her doctor.
Her belly is still hurting off and on. Things are beginning to move a little so she is going to be experiencing discomfort for a few more days. I wish I could make it all go away.  CF SUCKS!!!!!!

Just being silly!
When her belly isn't hurting she laughs and acts so silly. The pool guys are here today...they brought a bigger jackhammer..she said..."whoa..that's a big digger!!"  I love you so much little one. It won't be long before your pool is ready for you!

Today was such a beautiful day. We waited for the pool builders to leave and for the digging dust to settle and we headed out. She was feeling so much better today! We walked/ran all over the place..she drove her diesel truck up and down the street and took it off road!..she even pulled out the Krazy Kar and rolled around in it for 30 minutes!  She had to take a couple bathroom breaks and informed my "it's moving it's way down"..and it "doesn't feel all stretching on the inside".

Today she asked what the biggest tree in our yard was..I pointed it out and asked why? "Because if I climb the biggest tree all the way to the top maybe I can see Uncle DanDan"... such a sweetie. She also has a special rock for his car!

No Apparent Side Effects!

Snuggle time..always makes things better

Bella has been with me most of the week. She has developed a barking cough. So steroids were ordered in for three days...she's not a big fan of the liquid, but she guzzles it down like a champ. We were prepared for the normal steroid reactions (irritability, restlessness, etc.) but she seems to have flown through this medication without adverse side effects!! Her cough is beginning to break up finally.  We have played inside and boxed and chased bad guys and anything else she thinks up!  It's never a dull moment when she's around.
Extra nebulized medications during this coughing outbreak

Bella wasn't too happy that the pool guys didn't work this week! "Grammy?" (with a very, very sad face) "Am I ever going to get my pool?"  I assured her her pool would be done by swimming season! I'm as anxious as she is!

She's with us tonight..Momma and Daddy are having dinner and going to a movie. Love my little family so much!  Danny, Bryan, Jessica, Bella, and Tony...you are my entire WORLD!  Love you "this" much forever and always!

Good Day/Tough Day

Watching the pool guys work
Clinic day is always such a mixture of emotions.  Bella is always talkative and smiling when we get there.  She told everyone about her bladder infection, talked about our garden from last year (that got too much rain and rotted in the ground!), talked about the garden from the prior year that the turtles ate, told the Pharmacist about her meds and how often she took them, just a bundle of info!  She is now 42 inches tall and her weight is 42.8 lbs!  That put her in the 94th percentile!! THAT is such great news...she is kicking CF's butt!!!  She saw her "green sheet" the moment the Dietitian/Nutritionist came in and couldn't wait to get it! She was so happy!!.....Then came the "Swab Lady"...Oh how her mood changed, the struggle began, tears flowed and it took four of us to get her to open up and let the nurse swab her throat. And then it was lab time for annual blood work. Daddy holds her on his lap and we try so hard to make her understand that it's not a shot and she won't feel it once they numb her arm but she just can't deal with it sometimes.  But we got her blood drawn and it was over, but she had "had" it..she'd screamed at the nurses to "get your stinking hands off me!"...it was too much for her today. She cried all the way home..being tired didn't help..being stressed out only added to it. Even a yummy chocolate shake wouldn't help.."I can't stop crying to drink it, Grammy"..so cuddles when we got home and a nap on Grammy's lap helped. Spending the night here helped as well.  Thank you, Daddy, for coming to pick her up only to have her tell you she wanted to stay here instead. "I love you Daddy, but I would really like to sleep here tonight."  And sleep she did..she was sound asleep by 10:00 and didn't move all night and slept in until after 8:00.

So today is going to be a "girl's" day...she wants to hang out, take a bath, hunt vampires and werewolves (yep..that's her kind of "girl" stuff!

Just being goofy!
...  We will play and have fun. She deserves it.
