Queen

Copper Kiln time!

This week we decided to go to Copper Kiln. We haven't painted anything in awhile and we thought it was about time!  We actually got our projects back in record time (2 days!!!). We are going to go back next week. Papa has asked for a special project and we must oblige!

She loves singing Queen songs!

I never get tired of listening to Bella sing. Some days she is all about singing. Her music ranges from pop, classic rock, opera, just about any genre!  I'm not sure how many four year olds love Queen but she sure does. Some of her favorites aren't the average song that you hear on the radio.."I'm Going Slightly Mad", "I'm The Invisible Man", "Innuendo" ("daddy really likes the guitar in this song and so do I"). Of course she loves "Under Pressure", "Radio GaGa", too, but she sings along with almost all of their music!  Love it!!!

Play ball!!

We had a couple very nice days so it was run around and play outside as much as we can during those days!  The pool is getting closer...hopefully next week's weather will  work in our favor and we'll get the pool deck completed so we can plant the upper beds before the plastering of the pool starts.

Carrots!

 Garden is growing..tiny carrot sprouts have started to show up. Bella will be so excited!!

We had a short week but we did manage to go see The Jungle Book. Bella wanted to go to the Warren Theater because she loves their French fries and ketchup! So we headed off for a lunch and movie date! She loved the movie and so did I!

Thursday night was our The Blacklist night and Bella and I had a lot of discussing to do when it was over. She does love that show! We have to play "Blacklist" when it's done! Adore her imagination.

We played outside a lot since the weather was so nice. She is very anxious for the pool to be completed because she wants to swim! It won't be long!

Daddy's birthday is Monday so she picked out a cake for us to bake for him!

Antibiotics

Crazy week!!!

Jess said Bella woke up with a very red and sore throat with lovely white spots! So it was doctor visit time.  She really, really, really dislikes swabs, but she said she would be a big girl and try very hard not to cry. She did amazing! She gagged and had to try it a second time and stuck with it and it was done..she was teary eyed but did not cry or fight. She did say she was ready to go home as soon as it was done!  Her doctor came in and when Bella saw the tongue depressor she immediately opened her mouth and gave the biggest and longest "awwwwww" that she could and the doc was able to view her throat without using it! Bella received a big high-five!!  She did test positive for strep so antibiotics began.  She is feeling great now!

CF info time:  Antibiotics are wonderful things, but unfortunately CF patients build up a tolerance for oral antibiotics very, very quickly and they become ineffective.  When oral antibiotics are no longer effective it then requires IV meds and hospital stays...Keeping Bella healthy and away from antibiotics is a major thing!!

We planted our garden this week.  Bella is determined to grow carrots...it is the one vegetable that she loves to eat raw (with Ranch Dressing) so we will attempt to grow them again. Last year the excessive rain caused her garden to rot in the ground so we are hoping her little raised garden will do better this year. I told her that her carrots will be five or six inches long..."What?" (She is thinking they will be tiny like the baby carrots in bags!) I told her I'd cut them into little carrots for her..."You are so crazy sometimes, Grammy!" True!

Fun day! Maleficent, Leia, Rey, and Phasma were all here today!!  Of course BB8 was here, too!

Bella was suppose to be my The Blacklist partner tonight...but about 7:55 she said "I wish it was on earlier!" and nodded off to sleep. I'm sure she'll ask in the morning how it was.

I couldn't help but laugh today...Bella and I were watching the masons putting up the pool wall. One had a bad case of "butt crack" going on. I was hoping she wouldn't notice...but she did..."OMGosh, Grammy!! Why does that guy do that? Does he like doing that?"...I tried to explain that it happens sometimes..."Well it looks funny and he shouldn't do that!". "He should pull up his pants!"  I agree..  She turned her head and rolled her eyes. Guess pool building is quite the learning experience for her!

Rock 'N Roll!!

Bella  decided it was time to rock out on Daddy's drums today!

There's nothing wrong with my leg, but Doctor Bella had to treat me today!  Of course she had to be sure I propped it up properly and then she had to find me some "crotches" (crutches) to use! She is such a sweetie!  Of course when it was my turn to be the doctor we were laughing because I just couldn't find her heart with the stethoscope, nor could I find her lungs..for some reason they just weren't where they were suppose to be...guess I'm not a very good doctor! Lol!
